Gala Italia 2012: the best Italian wines in New York and Los Angeles

On February 23rd the twenty-seventh edition of Gala Italia, the largest U.S. exhibition devoted exclusively to Italian wines, will be held in New York in the prestigious setting of the Marriott Marquis Hotel. It is a major event for the Italian wine with the best Italian wine producers showcased.
Gala Italia, organized by the Italian Wine & Food Institute, is the perfect opportunity to improve the knowledge of the finest Italian wines in the U.S. The American market, in fact, has in recent years marked a clear preference for Italian wine and food and, in addition, the U.S. market is currently registering an annual growth rates above 20% despite the economic downturn.

Feb. 23, from 3p.m. to 8p.m., will be entirely devoted to Wine & Food Tasting. Visitors will taste exquisite wines, and also the typical food of the different Italian regions. The visitors to Gala Italia are mainly press professionals and the most important operators and experts of the wine and hospitality sector for a total attendance of around 2,000.
The Italian wine makers, besides attending the event, will have their wines
presented in the exhibition catalog along with all the necessary references and contact details of the importers.
The twenty-seventh edition of Gala Italia will have a replica some days later. The second
event will be held in Los Angeles on February 27, 2012, with the purpose of
publicizing the local wines also in California and its wine area. Needless to say that the ingredients and food chosen to accompany the wine tasting are of superior quality and carefully selected with the aim of enhancing the character of the wines.
