Lombardy, thanks to its great extension, has several DOC zones, and produces wines that are very different between them. Renowned abroad are wines coming from Oltrepò Pavese, Franciacorta and Valtellina, the latter famous also for its gastronomic products. The variety of the territories is reflected in the wines, ranging from bright red to soft white, while it is still a widespread practice of producing homemade wine called Ragett. Among the most famous wines of Lombardy are the Oltrepò Pavese Pinot Noir and DOCG Sparkling Franciacorta.
