Barolo & Firends, Piedmont wines in Denmark
A famous Italian wine, the Barolo, will be celebrated in Denmark from April 19 to 21, 2012. The "Barolo & Friends" is an initiative to bring around Europe the knowledge of the great wines of Piedmont, but also of local products, specialties and beautiful places of the Italian region; three days with meetings, tastings, seminars and in-depth on the subject, addressed both to the public and to professionals.

With this belief we made italianwinesandfood.com a mash up project to promote the best of Italian products, but also wine tours in Italy .
In a easy-to-use map we collected the main typical Italian products divided by typology and geographic locations.
In particular our purpose is enabling a rapid and intuitive consultation of the map to discover the typical Italian products and the main Italian wines: italian sparkling wine, Franciacorta, Chianti,...
The website publishes only certified products in accordance with the current European law: PDO, PGI, TGS for Italian food and DOC (Certified Designation of Origin), DOCG (Certified and Guaranteed Designation of Origin) for Italian wines.
The map picks up all the typical Italian food but in particular visiting the website you can know the producers of the most important typical Italian products that made famous the Italian wine and food in the world.
